True strength amidst great trials

Thus says the LORD: Cursed is the one who trusts in human beings, who seeks his strength in flesh, whose heart turns away from the LORD. He is like a barren bush in the desert that enjoys no change of season, but stands in a lava waste, a salt and empty earth.

How true is it ? Human beings will always let you down, loyal or not it will happen because we are not perfect, in fact no one is, we are highly fallible. Usually its a matter of when will they mess up. No need to fret though, it is truly the only way to be human and what matters is what we do when we don't live up to others or our own expectations. That can be truly amazing and brings people closer together. When you humble yourself, admit that you alone can't do it and before that person you've wronged, well its pretty wondrous. You can grow closer through it all there is hope for those who value you and want to work on everything with you by their side.

Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose hope is the LORD. He is like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream: it fears not the heat when it comes; its leaves stay green; in the year of drought it shows no distress, but still bears fruit.

To truly be rooted in something that doesn't change; we stay rooted in the life giving water just as it says, figuratively and mentally. Easy to say but not easy for our actions to match our intentions. It's a work in progress just like sanctification is. It is truly the journey rather than the destination. However we need to remain focused even in very hard times such as these.

Beatitudes

“Blessed are you who are poor,

for the kingdom of God is yours.

Blessed are you who are now hungry,

for you will be satisfied.

Blessed are you who are now weeping,

for you will laugh.

Blessed are you when people hate you,

and when they exclude and insult you,

and denounce your name as evil

on account of the Son of Man.

Rejoice and leap for joy on that day!
